In 1981 I finished my undergraduate studies in Memphis, moved back to Nashville and started a freelance job which eventually became influential on my figurative sculpture.

This work evolved into somewhat of a Mom and Pop family business, making life-size wax figures for the now defunct Country Music Wax Museum, and later for the Country Music Wax Museum in Tamworth, Australia, which is still open I believe, and other odd places.

Before taking on this work, I'd never worked sculpturally with the human figure. Most of my early figurative training stems from this experience with wax. Click Elvis to see a few.
